1 b&w plate is missing, and another is detached with 1/4" tears to the margins. One contents leaf partly detached. Front free endpaper torn out. Gutter at rear hinge partly split. Some paper adhering to repair board. 3/4" chip to paper inlay on spine. 1/8" chips and fraying to cloth at corners of boards. Cloth boards fairly clean overall. Some fading to cloth spine. Some foxing. ; No date [c. 1924]. 288 pages + colour frontis + 3 colour plates + 7 of 8 b&w plates. Illustrated cloth boards with gilt titles and pictorial paper inlays on spine and front board. Dimensions: 9" by 6 1/4". Includes a five page true story by Robert Scott: "A Night on a Steam Drifter: My Experience on the North Sea". ; 8vo
