Mitcalfe, Barry Archive of 6 original typescripts of short stories + 4 inscribed titles + 3 others. First Edition Softcover Good with no dust jacket Original typescripts of six short stories by New Zealand author Barry Mitcalfe. The six stories are: Spring of the Trap; Mrs McGlusky; "The Pig-Hunters"; West Coast Cricket; Dry Season; Crow's Nest. All of the typescripts have some corrections and changes in ink. Two are signed by the author. Some of the leaves are creased and torn, without loss of text. Together with 7 published titles by Barry Mitcalfe: 1. "Salvation Jones" (1962), inscribed by the author to Vic [Victor O'Leary]. 2. "Morning Noon and Night" (1965), ex-library. 3. "Migrant" (1975), inscribed by the author to Victor O'Leary. 4. "'I Say, Wait for Me'" (1976), inscribed by the author to Vic [Victor O'Leary]. 5. "Country Road" (1980). 6. "Look to the Land" (1986). 7. "Gulf" (no date), inscribed by the author to Vic and Sean. Condition varies from fair to good plus. Barry Mitcalfe was a writer of short stories and poetry. He was the winner in 1997 of the Katherine Mansfield Fellowship.
