There are 1 1/2" and smaller tears in the edges of the wrappers. Name filled in on presentation page: "Ina Ward" of Ravensbourne Public School. The illustration on the front wrapper is peeling off. Internally good.; 48 pages. Illustrated. Illustration on front wrapper. Decorative borders to leaves. "In this concise history of the Great War no attempt has been made to write down to the level of a young child. [...] It is hoped that this small souvenir of the greatest triumph in the history of that unique Empire, which has never stood for IMPERIUM - for selfish power - but always for the common weal, for liberty and humanity, will be treasured by those who receive it [...]" - from the author's foreword.
