"The literature relating to New Zealand is not only unusually interesting but is unusually extensive." - from the Introduction. Former owner's name "E. Dunbar Bryant" on title page, and initials on front endpaper. This copy has has some newspaper clippings from the 1930s and 1940s relating to rare book auctions sales pasted to the endpapers and included loosely. The rear endpaper has clippings about the sale of Mr L. M. Grace's library in 1934, which included Lee and Kendall's Grammar, White's Ancient History of the Maori, Buller's Birds of New Zealand, and a Maori "Bible" printed in Sydney in 1833 (this would have been extracts only as a complete bible in Maori was not published until 1868). ; 8vo Price:
