The magazine is variously subtitled: A Literary Periodical; A Magazine of New Zealand Writing; A Magazine of Australasian Writing (Issue 27). Cover design of Issue 8 is by Robert Lowry. Content is mainly short stories and poetry, with some comment sections, such as "Post-War New Zealand Poetry: The Clayless Climate" by Kendrick Smithyman in Issue 10. Page 11 of the advertisements is glued down to the rear endpaper. Hinges broken internally. Hinges weak. There is no title page or preliminary pages - the book begins at page 1 after advertisements on the front free endpaper. The colour map of Edinburgh has very large tears along most of the folds. Internally very good. PAges clean. ; 8vo
