Binding worn, with both joints split along 3/4" of their length. Boards rubbed. Internally good. Newspaper clipping on tuatara, dated 1921, pasted to front endpaper. ; [viii], 332,  pages + plates + 2 full page colour maps (North Island & South Island). Grey papered boards with black lettering on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 211 x 138mm. Spine title: "New Zealand Today 1919". Illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographic illustrations. 1 full page world map. Contents includes descriptions of the different regions from north to south, parliament, the New Zealanders, finance, banking, trade, the productive works, tourists and sportsmen, humanitarian achievements, health, education, lands and mines, farming, livestock, the Great War, the future, imperial relations. The author was Minister of Internal Affairs and Public Health. Our copy has  pages of advertisements (for banks, and the Public Trust Office) at rear, compared with  pages in Bagnall R1185.
