Some evidence of label removal from tail of spine and colour touch up. Slight wear (1/16") at ends of spine. Slight wear at tips of lower corners of boards. No signatures or stamps. Label removed from corner of front pastedown. Some dust stains to top page edges. Some preliminary leaves opened roughly with ragged fore edges. One contents leaf opened very roughly with 1/2" chips along blank margin, not affecting text. Occasional scattered foxing. A 1 1/4" tear in blank margin of final leaf of index. No tears in folding map. Overall a very good copy. ; xviii, 268 pages +33 illustrations (including frontispiece and b&w plates) + folding colour map at rear. Blue cloth boards with gilt monal pheasant (Lophophorus lhuysii) illustration on front board. Dimensions: 9 1/2" by 6 1/4". Black endpapers.
