The title page for the March issue is heavily chipped at the margins and heavily foxed. Corners of leaves chipped and dog-eared at beginning and end of volume. Later cloth spine. Some foxing throughout. ; (113) - 452, (509) - 564 pages. Seven monthly issues (March to October, September missing). Page dimensions: 8 1/4 x 5". The only plates and maps present are: a map of Bell Isle and a "Plan of the town and citadel of Palais the Capital of Bell Isle." All other plates and maps are missing. Engraved illustration to title page of each monthly part. Small in-text illustration showing the eclipse of the moon. One showing the transit of the planet Venus. Some wood cut initials. Some musical notation. The May issue includes a folding map of Bell Isle, divided into parishes, dimensions: 10 1/2 x 8 1/4" and a Plan of the Town and Citadel, dimensions: 10 1/2 x 8 1/4".
