1" chip to marbled paper on front board. Marbled paper worn away from edges of boards. Leather joints rubbed but strong. 1" tear to lower margin of title leaf in Volume I. Split to gutter following title leaf of Volume I. One leaf (pp.3-4 in Volume I), has had a 4" corner torn away and reattached with archival mending tissue, with no loss of text. The tear also has stains from an earlier old sellotape repair. The title page to Volume III has a 3/8" tear and some creasing to the inner margin.; A novel by an anonymous author.
