3 hand-written letters from Hone Tuwhare to his friend Barbara Irwin. Barbara Irwin was a neighbour of Tuwhare's when he was living in Dundas Street, Dunedin. One letter dated 27 September 1990, the other two 9 October 1990. Four pages of writing. Page dimensions: 298 x 210mm. Together with a colour photograph of Hone with the dog Jessie. Photograph dimensions: 153 x 102mm. "You certainly go for the jugular in your evaluation of President BUSH & the U. S. role rattling rusty sabred in the hot sands of Arabia." One of the letters mentions Tuwhare's future move from Dundas Street to Elder Street. "Richard got in touch with me by phone and has told me he is moving my property (word-processor, Video, recorder, art work, books, manuscripts, bed, mattress etc) to my new abode [. . .] I'm closer to the pubs! [. . .] The first thing I'd like to do is to throw a dinner party for you after I've sorted my gear out in my new place." ; 4to; Signed by Author
