The front board has a 3/8" chip to the cloth in the lower edge, and a 3/8" chip at the lower corner. Some fading to spine cloth. Some minor marks to spine cloth. Some dust stains to lower corner of text block from shelf rubbing. Small paper labels of the "Pegasus Art Group" on the endpapers and the copyright page. Gutter split at front hinge, and partly split at rear hinge. Slight abrasion to the title page, just below the publisher's imprint. ; xv, [1], 422, [2] pages + 60 b&w plates + 2 colour plates. Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 334 x 263mm. In addition to the plates at the end of the volume, there are 239 in-text b&w figures.
