This was Grace Bussell, the daughter of a settler, who had made his home on the bank of the Margaret River, half-way between Cape Naturalist and Cape Lewin. She was out riding in the bush, accompanied by a native servant, when she appeared on the scence. Without a moment's hesitation she rode fearlessly down the steep cliff, followed by her attendant, and at once urged her horse into the boiling surf." - page 115.
