The frontispiece map is cropped slightly within the printed area at the left margin, with loss of the left border. Pencil marginalia of R. F. [Ron] Keam. Previous owner's signatures of "P. Marshall" on front wrapper and title page. Some foxing. ; Scarce. This copy from the collection of Ron Keam, with his pencil marginalia on several leaves. Keam was Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Auckland, and the author of the "Tarawera: The Volcanic Eruption of 10 June 1886" (1988). 84 pages + 4 colour maps (one folding) + numerous plates (including many lithographs from photographs). Rebound in heavy card boards with green cloth tape spine. The original printed grey paper wrappers are bound in. Page dimensions: 230 x 153mm.
